:::::::::::: The ReMix
Our interior design philosophy is relatively simple and straightforward. When designing an interior space, beauty and functionality converge to create spaces that have an immediate impact when you enter it.
It should take your breath away. Not just the first time, but every time you enter the space.
ThriftStoreRemix’s office presented a unique set of design challenges for the team. At 600 sq. ft., the space was small and cramped. Additionally, it had to accommodate a functional work and living space. Lastly, it had to have that wow factor.
In keeping with our ethos, many pieces were remixed. Pieces were discovered found in dumpsters, thrift stores or created exclusively for the project.
We designed the interior space so each functional section served multiple purposes. For example, the futon served as a couch during the day. At night, it was converted into a bed.
The space had to be funki and contemporary. Since we’d be working in the space for long hours, it had to inspire fun and creativity. The spaces contemporary design also helped to make the space feel open and inviting.
